Czech Company Plans To Launch Georgia-Armenia Tourist Train

Starting June 14, the passenger train connection between Yerevan and Batumi will resume, following the signing of an agreement between Georgian Railways and South Caucasus Railways.

According to the Georgian Railway, the accord was finalised during a meeting in Yerevan, establishing that trains will operate every other day in alignment with Georgia’s sea resort season, continuing until October 1.

As of the press release issued by the Armenian, the Czech company "Gepard Express" plans to launch a tourist train in the region.


What will the tourist route be like?

  • According to the plan of the “Gepard Express”, the tourist train:
  • will move within the territory of Armenia for three days.

Then, it will move within the territory of Georgia for six days.

This 9-day tourist package will allow European travelers to fully explore the cultural, historical and natural attractions of both Armenia and Georgia.
