Members of the Georgian delegation are holding meetings in Singapore as part of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s official visit to the country.
According to Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration, in addition to meetings with Singapore’s political leadership, the Prime Minister is scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion with representatives of fintech companies and meet with the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore’s international airport.
Zhorzholiani said strengthening economic cooperation with Singapore is strategically important, noting that both countries serve as regional hubs.
“Singapore is a financial and logistics hub in its region. Similarly, Georgia serves as a hub in its own region. We are making significant investments to strengthen Georgia’s connectivity and further enhance its role as a financial and logistics hub. Therefore, deepening economic cooperation with Singapore and sharing experience across various sectors is very important,” he said.
The Georgian government has identified closer ties with Singapore as an opportunity to expand cooperation in areas including logistics, finance, connectivity and investment.
