Company "Megatechnica" declares, that the demand for televisions increased by 45% in 5 months of this year.
As the head of the company's marketing Nino Avalishvili explains in a conversation with BMG, a special increase was observed on large-sized TVs during the European Championship.
"Our company has been on the market for 28 years. Our sales rate is growing as of 5M2024. We deeply hope, that the same trend will be sustained in the second half of the year. Especially in connection with the European Championship, there was an increased demand for TVs. It is also worth noting that the largest 120-inch TV could be purchased only in "Megatechnica", which contributed to this growth. In total, the demand for TVs increased by 45% compared to the previous year.
We also have good results with respect to washing machines and refrigerators. We showed a 30% increase compared to the previous year. There is a great demand for air conditioners this season," Avalishvili said.
According to the data of the National Statistics Service, calculators, laptops, personal computers and their accessories worth USD 140.019 million were exported to the country in 5 months, while the value of appliances stood at USD 75.726 million in the same period of the previous year.
