On November 29, the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan had a brief meeting on the sidelines of the CIS Economic Council session in Moscow.
According to Azerbaijan’s APA news agency, Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov and Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan spoke for over ten minutes in an informal "standing" conversation.
The meeting occurred during the 104th session of the CIS Economic Council. Details of the discussion were not disclosed, although APA shared photographs from the scene. The Armenian side has not yet commented on the interaction.
Despite ongoing tensions with the CSTO and Armenia's abstention from some Moscow-hosted events, the country remains actively engaged within the CIS and EAEU frameworks, considering them advantageous.
This commitment was recently reaffirmed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s participation in the CIS heads of state summit in Moscow in October.
