Georgia's Municipal Development Fund has signed a GEL 940,489 contract with Offgrid LLC to design a new food market in the village of Badiauri, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced. The company has four months to complete the project.
The planned market will feature modern retail and business areas for local food producers, including pavilions, kiosks, storage facilities, parking, public restrooms, lighting, security, and utility infrastructure.
The project will be developed alongside the construction of the 17-kilometer Sagarejo–Badiauri highway, near the new transport interchange, providing local entrepreneurs with a safer and more accessible location to sell their products.
According to the ministry, the new marketplace is expected to promote local produce, improve business conditions, and create a modern commercial environment for regional farmers and food producers.
