The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, under the Ministry of Infrastructure, has launched the design phase for a new multifunctional complex in Surami, Khashuri Municipality. According to the ministry’s announcement, a contract has been signed with the winning bidder, marking the start of a four-stage service process.
The project aims to create a modern, multi-purpose space that will serve the sports, cultural, and educational needs of residents in Surami, Khashuri, and nearby villages. The complex will include versatile halls, large and children’s swimming pools, fitness and training areas, and dedicated spaces for various sports such as judo, wrestling, boxing, MMA, table tennis, gymnastics, and fencing.
Beyond sports facilities, the complex will feature a mediatheque, choreography and arts studios, folklore and foreign language rooms, a STEM club, a multifunctional event space, as well as administrative and technical zones.
The development plan also includes parking areas, pedestrian paths, recreational zones, landscaping, outdoor lighting, and modern safety and water supply systems.
