The pilot phase of digitalizing construction supervision will be launched by the end of the year, according to Guram Dumbadze, Head of the Efficiency Department of the Government Administration. Under the reform, information on the progress of construction works will be recorded digitally, making the process publicly accessible.
Dumbadze said the current supervision process is largely conducted manually, and the new system is intended to improve monitoring. The digital platform will cover supervision of both goods and services and construction works.
The system will allow the daily monitoring of construction stages and record the exact stage of a particular project. The information will be publicly available, enabling both procuring organizations and construction companies to better monitor works and compliance with quality requirements.
According to Dumbadze, the program will be fully financed and developed by the state and will not create additional costs for businesses. He said the government expects to launch the pilot component by the end of the year.
