Discussion with Nikol Pashinyan focused on strategic partnership, regional issues - Kobakhidze

GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

According to the Government’s press office, the sides discussed “the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and many years of good neighbourly relations.”

Attention was paid to the main issues of the strategic partnership agenda, including cooperation in the field of trade-economic, transport and culture. The talk also focused on the challenges in the region and the particular importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Georgia welcomes the completion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is a historical step towards long peace and stability in the region.

Irakli Kobakhidze said his discussion with Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan was “comprehensive, focusing on our strategic partnership as well as the main regional and global issues.”

“The strong and positive dynamics of our relations, reinforced through sports and cultural ties, reaffirm the deep bonds between our people. I am confident that this occasion will further enhance our cooperation and contribute to our shared success,” the Kobakhidze wrote on X later.
