In 1Q2024 the monthly average number of Georgian resident visitors aged 15 years or more equaled 1 million 277 thousand and monthly average number of visits by those visitors on the territory of Georgia corresponded to 1 million 555 thousand units. The monthly average number of visitors has increased by 8.8%, as for the number of visits, it has increased by 6.8% in comparison to the same period of the previous year, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the document, in 1Q2024, 37.3% of the visitors belonged to the age group of 31-50. Herewith, women accounted for 53.4% of the total number of visitors.
As of the survey results, 38.4% of visitors are the residents of Tbilisi, 14.6% - Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, 8.7% – Adjara A/R, while the rest of the regions are represented by the lower shares in the structure.
In 1Q2024 the monthly average expenditure during the visits equaled 265.9 million GEL. The indicator is 8.6 percent higher compared to the same figure of the previous year. As for the average expenditure per visit it increased by 1.8 percent and equaled 170.9 GEL.

Transport - 51 million GEL, average expenditure per visit - 32.8 GEL;
Accommodation - 15.8 million GEL, average expenditure per visit - 10.1 GEL;
Entertainment, health, cultural and sports events - 3.9 million GEL, average expenditure per visit - 2.5 GEL;
Other expenditure - 43.4 million GEL, average expenditure per visit - 27.9 GEL.
