Batumi-based confectionery company Dona increased sales at its new branch by around 15–20% during the summer season, meeting its targets earlier than expected, company head Tamila Bezhanidze told BMGTV.
Bezhanidze said the summer season was active but shorter than usual. While sales at the company’s existing branch grew as expected, the new location achieved stronger-than-anticipated seasonal growth.
Rising ingredient costs and inflation remain key challenges, but Dona has largely maintained its prices. Bezhanidze said only minor adjustments were made to selected products, supported by long-standing supplier relationships and sales volumes. The company hopes to avoid widespread price increases before the New Year.
Corporate events and private orders also contribute to sales. Team-building events organized by companies from Tbilisi are particularly active in summer, while wedding orders typically peak in September and October. Dona is also adapting its product range to customer preferences and social media trends.
