According to the 9-month review of the e-commerce market by TBC Capital, the Georgian e-commerce market continues to grow.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the market expanded by 35% year-on-year to 7.62 billion GEL. Of this, the local market accounted for 41%, amounting to 3.1 billion GEL.
“A significant increase is recorded in spending from Georgia on the international e-commerce market, which amounted to 4.5 billion GEL in the first 9 months of 2025; however, the growth rate lags behind the local market,” the review notes.
In the same period of 2024, local e-commerce accounted for 37% of the market. Overall, the Georgian e-commerce market in 2024 grew to 7.9 billion GEL, of which 38%, or 3 billion GEL, came from local merchants.
TBC Capital emphasizes that the local market volume of 3.1 billion GEL in the first 9 months of 2025 already exceeds the total local market result for all of 2024.
According to the sector overview, the growth of the local market is reflected in the increase in the number of local parcels, which are expected to account for half of all parcels. Last year, the total number of local and international parcels reached 13.3 million, an increase of 41% compared to the previous year.
