Swiss airline Edelweiss has started flights to Georgia.
Edelweiss has operated its first direct flight from Zurich to Tbilisi, carrying 131 passengers.
Edelweiss will operate direct regular flights on the Zurich-Tbilisi-Zurich route twice a week.
The inaugural flight was attended by representatives of the Swiss media who will travel to Georgia for a week at the invitation of the National Tourism Administration and prepare articles about Georgia.
Edelweiss is a subsidiary of Swiss International Airlines, founded 29 years ago, and is owned by the Lufthansa Group.
