European Investment Bank (EIB) will allocate Georgia a loan of 106.7 million EUR for road infrastructure. The project provides reconstruction of 30-km road sections of Algeti-Sadakhlo and 32-km road section of Rustavi-Red Bridge.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the EIB has so far invested 1 billion EUR in the development of Georgia's road infrastructure.
"After the completion of the works, both sections of the road will be renovated and there will be a modern and safe road connecting the Republic of Armenia. Passengers and cargo will be transported on the same route. Both sections will improve living conditions and business environment in the country and the region”, the document reads.
