Electricity distribution company Telasi reports a 1.2% increase in electricity consumption in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. According to the company, a total of 1.8 billion kWh of electricity was distributed during the six-month period.

The rise in consumption, Telasi says, is linked to growing economic activity in the country and a steady increase in the number of subscribers.

As of June 2025, Telasi serves 798,000 subscribers, marking a 4.5% increase, or an additional 34,300 users, since the same time last year. Of these, 714,500 are individual consumers, while 83,400 are legal entities.

In addition to the growing user base, the company also expanded its infrastructure. In the first six months of 2025, the total length of Telasi’s power transmission lines reached 7,302 kilometers, up by 4.3% (or 302 km) compared to the same period in 2024.
