“Today, we signed a memorandum in Abu Dhabi, securing an unprecedented $6 billion investment in Georgia,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced.
In a statement to journalists, he underscored the agreement’s vital role in the nation’s economic development.
“We held productive meetings in the United Arab Emirates, including discussions with the President of the UAE and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, as well as key ministers and government officials. These discussions addressed various facets of our bilateral relations, encompassing political cooperation and economic projects. Notably, we pinpointed specific areas for deepening our collaboration,” Kobakhidze remarked.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the memorandum signed with EMAAR Group, a globally renowned investment leader. The agreement outlines a $6 billion investment in a multifunctional development project aimed at enhancing infrastructure in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Gonio.
“This investment will significantly accelerate our economic growth, create new jobs, and position Georgia as an attractive destination for future international investments.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our partners in the UAE and the EMAAR Group for their invaluable cooperation in realizing this landmark project,” Kobakhidze concluded.
