Wizz Air is resuming flights to four Middle Eastern destinations, but the airline has told BMG that flights from Kutaisi to Abu Dhabi will not resume at this stage.
According to the airline, Wizz Air resumed flights to Jeddah and Amman this week and has officially confirmed the restoration of flights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai from October 25, 2026. Ticket sales for all four destinations are already available on the airline’s website and mobile app.
During the winter season, Wizz Air plans to gradually restore 12 routes and 49 weekly flights to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The phased resumption is based on updated recommendations from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), as well as Wizz Air’s own comprehensive operational and safety assessments. The airline said it will continue monitoring developments and coordinating closely with relevant authorities.
At this stage, the restored services will operate from nine European cities: Budapest to Amman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Jeddah; Rome and Milan to Jeddah; Larnaca, Sofia, Cluj-Napoca, Katowice and Krakow to Abu Dhabi; and Bucharest to Dubai. Wizz Air suspended Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operations in September 2025 due to market dynamics, operational challenges and the complex geopolitical situation in the Middle East. The Abu Dhabi-based airline had previously operated flights to Abu Dhabi from Kutaisi.
