Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between LEPL Employment Agency and LEPL Social Service Agency. The cooperation is aimed at conducting joint information campaign with purpose to activate targeted able to work/vulnerable citizens at labor market and to support their employment.
The Memorandum envisages conducting information meeting in targeted regions/districts to support employment of vulnerable groups and their involvement in State programs. These meetings contribute to awareness of job seekers, will further increase quality and effectiveness of employment support services.
At the first stage, the meetings with targeted groups will be held at all districts of Tbilisi and then information campaign will be rolled out to the regions throughout the whole country.
“Within the Memorandum signed between the Agencies, information exchange on the able to work, socially unprotected population and support to their employment from the side of employment Agency, including support through enhanced qualification, gaining of special skills and operationalization of support mechanisms is planned. This is very important, since the only way leading to eradication of poverty is employment. We will strengthen cooperation between two Agencies to maximally support employment from the State”, - stated Acting Director of State Employment Agency, Tamar Barkalaia.
“Close cooperation between two Agencies will significantly contribute to availability of relevant information, which will further increase effectiveness of implementation mechanisms”, - stated Acting Director of Social Service Agency, Levan Gogodze.
