Energy Sector Funding Is Up - Which Banks Are Lending To The Sector?

The volume of bank loans issued to the energy sector in Georgia reached GEL 2.6 billion as of December 2024. In a year, the financing of this sector has increased by 21%, or GEL 447 million.

According to financial statements, TBC Bank has issued the largest volume of loans to the energy sector among banks - GEL 1.2 billion. The second position is occupied by the Bank of Georgia with a loan portfolio of GEL 1 billion.

According to financial statements, a total of 12 banks have issued loans to the energy sector, their loan portfolios are distributed as follows:

1. TBC Bank - 1,211,646,014 GEL;
2. Bank of Georgia - 996,294,166 GEL;
3. Basisbank - 262,490,332 GEL;
4. Liberty - 110,281,208 GEL;
5. Pasha Bank - 91,586,306 GEL;
6. Isbank - 66,072,973 GEL;
7. ProCredit Bank - 12,509,234 GEL;
8. Silk Bank - 11,080,749 GEL;
9. Terbank - 3,827,075 GEL;
10. Credo Bank - 3,794,802 GEL;
11. Halyk Bank - 2,776,945 GEL;
12. Cartu Bank - 920,563 GEL.
