Otar Shamugia, the Georgian Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, on Monday discussed ongoing projects and cooperation with Rolande Pryce, the World Bank Regional Director in the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, Shamugia emphasised the importance of collaboration with the World Bank to address challenges in reclamation infrastructure, land management and agricultural development. He also discussed results achieved through joint projects.
"The World Bank-supported Georgia Resilient Agriculture, Irrigation, and Land Project plays a crucial role in reforming Georgia’s irrigation sector. I think that with maximum cooperation and coordination we can effectively achieve our common goals, overcome challenges, and attain better results”, the Minister said.
In his turn, Pryce noted Georgia had enjoyed a “successful partnership” with the World Bank, with the cooperation to be “further deepened”.
