According to the National Bank of Georgia, the European Union was the leading contributor to the growth of money transfers in November 2025.
NBG’s latest report shows that the total volume of remittances sent to Georgia reached 298.4 million USD, marking a 12% year-on-year increase. The main sources of money transfers were the EU countries (45.5%), the United States (19.4%), and Russia (12.9%). Among EU member states, the largest shares came from Italy (16.9%), Germany (9.2%), and Greece (8.3%).
Remittances from the European Union made the strongest contribution to overall growth, adding 6.3 percentage points, driven by a 14.2% annual increase. Transfers from the United States also continued to rise, up 15.5% (contributing 2.9 percentage points to overall growth). Meanwhile, Russia’s contribution in November stood at 3.3 percentage points.
