The meeting was also attended by the Political Advisor to the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia.

According to a statement published on the official microblog of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia on X (formerly known as Twitter), the main topic of discussion was the expansion of cooperation between the European Union and Armenia in the field of border security.

BMG reminds that the EU monitoring mission, patrolling the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan from the Armenian side, began its operations on February 20, 2023. The mission comprises 209 representatives from 23 EU member states and Canada. The mandate of the civilian mission is set for two years, until February 2025, and it is possible that a decision on its extension may be made before the end of this term.
