Georgia’s National Tourism Administration plans to spend €180,481 on developing a tourism development concept for Gurjaani municipality’s resorts and tourism clusters.
The project will include a pre-development study, a strategic vision and feasibility assessment, as well as a detailed concept and action plan. The main focus will be on Akhtala Resort, along with other tourism locations including Vedzhini, Ziari, Lakbes Reservoir, Cheremi, and Velistsikhe.
The concept will cover several tourism directions, including wellness, wine, agro, eco, adventure, gastronomic, MICE, and cultural tourism, aiming to diversify the region’s tourism offering.
The Tourism Administration said a simplified procurement procedure was selected due to the project’s importance and time constraints, allowing work to begin without delays caused by standard tender procedures.
