The jobless rate in the eurozone was stable at 6.7% in January compared to a month earlier, the EU's statistical office announced on Thursday.
The figure was down from 6.9% in January 2022.
The EU unemployment rate stood at 6.1% in January, also stable compared with a month earlier and down from 6.3% a year ago, according to Eurostat.
Some 13.3 million people in the EU, including 11.3 million in the euro area, were unemployed in January.
The number of jobless fell by 318,000 in the EU and by 220,000 in the euro area from December 2022.
The youth unemployment rate stood at 14.4% both in the EU and in the euro area.
