Today, implementing foreign policy requires special courage and at the same time, caution. It is a great responsibility for me to lead the foreign policy, especially when we see how much external factors influence the daily life of our country, our country’s domestic policy and, conversely, how our country’s domestic affairs are used in the foreign arena, - said Maka Bochorishvili, the candidate for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
She thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Georgian Dream team for the vote of confidence and noted that her arrival at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is like returning home.
“First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Georgian Dream team for the trust they have shown in me. Given the challenges facing our country, implementing foreign policy today requires special courage and at the same time, caution. For me, it is a great responsibility to lead the foreign policy, especially when we see how much external factors influence the daily life of our country, the internal politics of our country, and vice versa, how our country's internal affairs are used in the foreign arena. For me, it is a truly great honor to be at the service of our country already from the executive branch after the parliament has declared confidence. Protecting the interests of our country has never been easy, but every day and every minute on my part will be dedicated to ensuring that the national interests of our country, the constitutional goals of our country are protected as much as possible in the international arena. "Coming to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is like coming home for me. In fact, I grew up in this ministry. However, I can not fail to mention the experience, strength and energy that I have gained from the parliamentary team and parliamentary activities. Once again, thank you very much for the trust you have placed in me. Now, as an executive, I will try to protect the interests of our country to the best of my ability.
