External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 8 billion 419 million in January-May 2024, 2.3% lower year-on-year, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the value of exports decreased by 9.2% reaching USD 2 billion 274 million, while the import increased by 0.5% and amounted to USD 6 billion 145 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 3 billion 872 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 46%.
