Trade turnover between Georgia and India has increased. According to data from January-February 2025, trade between two countries almost doubled and amounted to 21 million USD, while this figure stood at 12.8 million USD in the same period last year, and 18.8 million USD in January-February 2022.
Imports have a much larger share in trade with India than exports, although this year, according to data from two months, both indicators showed an increase. Of which, exports increased almost fivefold and amounted to 4.3 million USD in January-February 2025, while in the same period last year it was 917,480 USD, and in 2023 it was even less - 529,590 USD. The main export commodity is fertilizers. The increase in exports is largely due to the increase in ammonium nitrate and tobacco exports.
