Georgia’s clothing exports increased in 2026, driven primarily by strong demand for T-shirts and knitwear. According to Geostat, clothing exports totaled $89.4 million in January–May 2026, up from $78 million during the same period a year earlier.
Turkey continues to dominate as the main destination for Georgian clothing exports. During the first five months of 2026, exports to Turkey reached approximately $66 million, accounting for the majority of total shipments.
Other leading export destinations included:
- Armenia – $7 million
- Poland – $4.1 million
- Russia – $2.8 million
- Czech Republic – $2.7 million
Over the past ten years, Georgia’s clothing exports have almost doubled. Export revenues increased from $88.4 million in 2015 to $170.8 million in 2025.
T-shirts remained Georgia’s largest clothing export category in 2025, generating $75.2 million in export revenue—nearly 44% of total clothing exports.

- Bras and related garments – $11.6 million
- Packaging bags and sacks – $11.7 million
- Other finished textile products – $16.7 million
- Children’s clothing – over $3.3 million

- Men’s shirts – about $2 million
- Hosiery and socks – $1.4 million
- Women’s and men’s underwear – over $1 million combined
