Experts from Georgia made up 1.88 billion USD in January-June 2021, up by 25% y-o-y, show the preliminary data from the Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the report, exports of nine items from the Top-10 major commodities are increased.
In January-June 2021 copper ores and concentrates reclaimed first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 391.0 million or 20.7% of total exports. The exports of Motor cars totaled USD 205.4 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 10.9%. The Ferroalloys exports occupied third place standing at USD 186.3 million and constituting 9.9% of the total exports.
Top-10 Major Export Commodities:
1. Copper ores and concentrates – 391 million USD, growth of 2.5% y-o-y
2. Motor cars – 205.4 million USD, growth of 11.6% y-o-y
3. Ferro-alloys – 186.3 million USD, growth of 58% y-o-y
4. Wine of Fresh Grapes – 104.2 million USD, growth of 14.1% y-o-y
5. Spirituous beverages – 69 million USD, growth of 29% y-o-y
6. Natural or artificial mineral and aerated waters – 66.5 million USD, growth of 34.6% y-o-y
7. Nitrogen fertilizers – 50.4 million USD, growth of 14% y-o-y
8. Medicaments put up on measured doses – 42.9 million USD, decline of 5.8% y-o-y
9. T-shirts knitted – 36 million USD, growth of 89% y-o-y
10. Hazelnuts and other nuts – 35.6 million USD, growth of 88.6% y-o-y.
