External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 9 billion 790 million in January-May 2025, 13.3% higher year-on-year, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the report, the value of export increased by 14.6 percent reaching USD 2 billion 595 million, while the import increased by 12.8% and amounted to USD 7 billion 195 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 4 billion 600 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 47%.
