I believe, that the National Bank of Georgia has acted adequately, Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani declared it as a response to a question from BM.GE, which concerned to the interventions made by the NBG to maintain the stability of the national currency.
"Now, we are hosting the IMF virtual mission and the NBG has a constant contact with them. I believe that the central bank will continue to act as adequately as it has acted earlier”, - Machavariani said.
On the question, if more intervention is needed to stabilize the national currency, Ivane Machavariani replied: "let’s leave this for the NBG to decide”.
