The first licensed Montessori kindergarten in Georgia, Montessori Universe, has opened in Tbilisi with the support of TBC Bank. Launched under a franchising agreement, the kindergarten is located near Lake Lisi and will serve 180 children between the ages of 2.5 and 6.
The total investment in the project amounts to GEL 4.7 million, with TBC contributing up to GEL 1 million in financing. The facility was designed and constructed in compliance with both local and international standards. Its infrastructure is fully adapted for children, allowing them to learn and play independently in line with Montessori principles.
Teachers at Montessori Universe have been trained in the United States at the Montessori Training Center, ensuring that international methodologies are implemented in the Georgian context.
TBC highlights education as a strategic priority, with its loan portfolio in the sector reaching GEL 162 million. By financing projects like Montessori Universe, the bank aims to promote world-class practices and raise educational standards across Georgia.
