Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Agree to Speed Up Work on Peace Agreement

On October 18, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan held talks in Istanbul, making progress on the peace agreement and normalization of relations between the two countries.

The meeting between Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov took place within the framework of the "3+3" regional consultative platform. The sides focused on further development of the "Peace and Interstate Relations" agreement and reached an agreement to accelerate work on the document to facilitate its swift signing.

Both ministers expressed their gratitude to Turkey for its hospitality.

The negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the peace treaty is advancing, though unresolved issues remain. According to the Armenian side, 13 out of the 16 points in the agreement have already been agreed upon.
