A foreign national has been arrested in Georgia’s Adjara region on suspicion of circulating $35,000 in counterfeit currency, the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance said.
According to investigators, the suspect allegedly circulated 350 counterfeit $100 bills in Adjara to obtain illegal financial gain.
Authorities said all the counterfeit banknotes were seized during investigative operations.
