According to a forecast by Freedom Broker Armenia, key macroeconomic indicators expected to be released between July 19 and July 29, 2024, may point to a slowdown in the country’s economic growth, according to an economic digest from Freedom Broker Armenia.

The publication indicates that producer price index (PPI) data is expected to show a price increase of 1.8% compared to 8.0% in May.

Experts at Freedom Broker Armenia predict a slowdown in economic activity growth in June to 2% from 5.2% in May. “The cooling of growth should become one of the triggers for further easing of the country’s monetary policy (MP) by the regulator (CB),” the publication states.

Despite the overall slowdown, industrial production is likely to maintain a steady growth rate of 5.7% year-on-year, although this is lower than May’s figure of 6.9%.

Retail sales are also expected to show some deceleration, with a projected growth of 15.0% in June compared to 17.6% in May.
