Fuel prices at filling stations across Georgia have increased by another 5-10 tetri over the past week, following a renewed rise in global oil prices driven by escalating tensions in the Middle East.
After declining from early June through early July, retail fuel prices began climbing again this month as branded fuel retailers adjusted prices upward in response to higher international crude oil costs.
Current prices at major fuel station networks are as follows:
- Gulf: Super – GEL 4.20; Premium – GEL 3.77; Regular – GEL 3.59; Euro Diesel – GEL 4.07; G-Force Euro Diesel – GEL 4.17. Diesel prices increased by 10 tetri on July 31.
- Wissol: Super – GEL 4.23; Premium – GEL 3.82; Regular – GEL 3.68; Eco Diesel – GEL 4.14; Euro Diesel – GEL 4.09. Most fuel types rose by 5 tetri on July 31.
- Socar: Super – GEL 4.12; Premium – GEL 3.73; Regular – GEL 3.59; Euro 5 Diesel – GEL 3.95; Nano Euro 5 Diesel – GEL 4.05. Petrol prices increased by 8 tetri on July 24.
- Lukoil: Super – GEL 4.18; Premium – GEL 3.75; Regular – GEL 3.60; Euro Diesel – GEL 4.04, with prices up by 5 tetri.
- Rompetrol: Super – GEL 4.19; Premium – GEL 3.78; Regular – GEL 3.63; Euro Diesel – GEL 3.99; Efix Euro Diesel – GEL 4.09.
- Connect: Super – GEL 3.80; Premium – GEL 3.65; Regular – GEL 3.50; Euro Diesel – GEL 3.95; Diesel – GEL 3.75. Unlike most competitors, Connect reduced the price of Super petrol by 5 tetri on July 29.
The latest increases follow a period of price stability after easing U.S.-Iran tensions earlier this summer. However, renewed geopolitical risks in the Middle East have pushed oil prices higher again, prompting fuel retailers in Georgia to revise pump prices upward.
