Former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has issued a stark warning on social media, responding to a wave of dramatic events unfolding across Georgia.
“Uncontrolled chaos and disorder will affect us all,” Gakharia wrote.
“Bloody divisions, for the distribution of money stolen from the people. Only through wise action and truth will we withdraw the Georgian peacekeepers.”
Gakharia, who is currently outside Georgia, did not elaborate further, but his statement comes amid deepening political unrest.
Yesterday, prominent businessman Giorgi Ramishvili was arrested at Tbilisi International Airport for illegal possession of a firearm. And this morning, it was revealed that Tornike Rizhvadze, the former Chairman of the Government of Adjara, had been hospitalized with a gunshot wound. His condition is reported as serious.
