GD Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and Natia Turnava, the Acting Governor of the National Bank of the country, on Tuesday held a concluding meeting with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, led by Alejandro Hajdenberg, to discuss the domestic fiscal and monetary policy.
The meeting also discussed steps taken to ensure macroeconomic and financial stability, and measures outlined in the Government's economic reform programme, the Finance Ministry said.
The parties reviewed and aligned their perspectives on existing macroeconomic and fiscal forecasts.
The meeting was attended by deputy ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, Vakhtang Chalapeikrishvili, the Department Head for Macroeconomic Analysis and Fiscal Policy Planning, as well as deputy governors of the NBG Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava, and Vakhtang Tsintsadze, the Deputy Economy Minister.
