Finance Minister Met With IMF Deputy Managing Director

President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Natia Turnava and Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili met Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Bo LI within the framework of the annual spring meetings of the NBG and IMF.

The sides reviewed Georgia’s fiscal and monetary policies, ongoing and scheduled reforms, cooperation with the IMF and future plans.

The meeting participants touched on the current geopolitical challenges and the scenarios developed by the IMP in light of the Middle East crisis, in relation to global and regional economic development trends.

Deputy Finance Ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, Georgian Ambassador to the U.S. Tamar Taliashvili, Department Head for Public Debt Management at the MOF Irakli Kacharava, NBG Vice President Ekaterine Mikaberidze, Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze and NBG’s Department Head of Macroeconomics and Statistics Tamta Sopromadze attended the meeting.
