GD government increased the amount allocated for disaster relief 9 folds and expanded the list of municipalities.
According to the decree published on February 28, signed by Irakli Kobakhidze, by the end of January, the government had allocated 6,400,000 GEL from the Regional Projects Fund to only 8 municipalities for disaster relief measures.
By Government Decree No. 383 made on February 28, 2025, the Ministry of Finance will allocate 58,517,000 GEL from the Regional Projects Fund to 37 municipalities. In addition, the amount that municipalities have left over from disaster relief measures should be used for other disaster relief measures.
Different amounts of money have been allocated for the municipalities of Zugdidi, Kharagauli, Gurjaani, Signagi, Akhaltsikhe, Sagarejo, Borjomi, Akhmeta, Senaki, Khoni, Bagdati, Gori, Tianeti, Terjola, Tsalenjikha, Kaspi, Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti, Lentekhi, Marneuli, Lagodekhi. Kvareli, Chokhatauri, Vani, Martvili, Chkhorotsku, Tsageri, Kutaisi, Tetritskaro, Ambrolauri, Sachkhere, Khashuri, Zestaponi, Telavi, Adigeni, Dedoplistskaro, Gardabani.
