"GD" Successfully Led The Country Over The Past 12 Years - Bidzina Ivanishvili

ბიძინა ივანიშვილი

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairperson of "Georgian Dream," emphasized that the upcoming October 26 elections are a crucial moment for the country, framing the vote as a decision about Georgia's survival and future. He called for national unity and support for "Georgian Dream" to secure a constitutional majority in Parliament.

Ivanishvili's statement underscored that the elections transcend ordinary political preferences, urging the public to prioritize the nation's stability and sovereignty. “On October 26, the agenda is not political sympathy-antipathy, but Georgia's presence-absence,” he said, emphasizing the importance of unity to demonstrate the Georgian people’s desire for peace and prosperity.

He expressed confidence that "Georgian Dream" has successfully led the country through challenges over the past 12 years, ensuring peace, and now requires a constitutional majority to continue this path. He warned against what he described as the "pseudo-liberal" values of the opposition and foreign influences, positioning the ruling party as the protector of Georgia’s traditional values, including family, faith, and independence.

“It is fundamentally important that 'Georgian Dream' wins a constitutional majority in the October 26 parliamentary elections,” Ivanishvili stated, outlining key goals such as ensuring rule by the people, prosecuting the former regime, and strengthening the role of the Orthodox Church in the constitution.

Ivanishvili concluded his appeal by urging Georgians to unite in the face of this critical moment for the nation: “We are obliged to the Lord and the motherland to leave an independent and peaceful Georgia to our children, our next generation. That’s why we must unite again on October 26 and win!”
