In Q3 2022 the nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounted to GEL 19 284.3 million. The real GDP increased by 9.8% YoY, while the GDP deflator percentage change equaled to 9.4%, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Significant contributions to the real GDP growth in Q3 2022 is related to increase of value-added of the following activities:
Information and communication (74.9%),
Transportation and storage (29.0%),
Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (8.8%);
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (34.7%),
Construction (9.1%);
Manufacturing (5.5%).
A decrease in the real value-added occurred in Human health and social work activities (-14.3%), Real estate activities (-6.3%), Professional, scientific and technical activities (-5.7%)
The largest share in GDP by activity is held by Trade (14.8%) and Manufacturing (11.4%), followed by Real estate activities (9.6%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (8.0%), Construction (7.7%), Transportation and storage (6.8%), Public administration (5.9%), Information and communication (5.2%).
