Georgia’s international airports handled 33,600 tons of cargo in the first nine months of 2026, up by 30% year-on-year and the highest first-nine-month figure of the past decade, according to the Civil Aviation Agency.

Passenger traffic also reached a decade high for the period, with 6.6 million passengers served, up by 2% year-on-year despite global challenges facing the aviation sector.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said cargo processed at Georgia’s seaports and terminals totaled 15.4 million tons in the first nine months, an increase of 24%.

The latest figures show continued growth across Georgia’s transport and logistics sectors, with both air and maritime cargo volumes reaching record levels for the first nine months of the year.
