“Georgia and Azerbaijan remain steadfast in their partnership and shared strategic objectives,” stated GD Agriculture Minister Davit Songulashvili, during his official working visit to Azerbaijan.

Reflecting on the visit, the Minister emphasised that cooperation between the two nations in the agricultural sector is essential for regional stability, economic growth, and the advancement of a joint environmental protection agenda.

Davit Songhulashvili also highlighted that Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev visited the Georgian pavilion at the international agriculture fair CASPIAN AGRO 2025, demonstrating strong bilateral ties.

“Our goal is to ensure that Georgia is prominently represented at international exhibitions of this extent. Such platforms offer invaluable opportunities to showcase Georgia’s potential to a broad international audience and to enhance our export capabilities,” he stated.

The Minister further mentioned that he held a meeting with Mukhtar Babayev, the Azerbaijani President’s envoy on climate issues, to discuss current challenges and the national and regional agenda.

In closing, Davit Songhulashvili expressed gratitude to the Georgian Embassy for organising the visit, reaffirming the commitment to ongoing collaboration and shared progress
