In the first half of 2024, the exports of wheat to Georgia increased. According to official statistics, 114,290 tons of wheat worth USD 27,569,000 entered the country during this period. The volume of wheat exported to the country increased by 69.1% annually, while the value - by 33.4%.
Between January and June 2024, Georgia bought wheat only from Russia and spent USD 27 million 569 thousand to buy 114 290 tons of Russian wheat.
As for the wheat flour exports, between January and June, Georgia bought 37,679 tons of flour worth USD 9,632,000. The exporting value decreased by 61.8%, while the volume - by 56.7%.
Flour exporting markets, unlike wheat, are more diversified, although the main exporter in this case is traditionally Russia.

Turkey - $500 thousand, 910 tons;
Italy - $164 thousand, 148 tons;
Lithuania - $49 thousand, 125 tons;
France - $36 thousand, 30 tons;
Austria - $16 thousand, 20 tons;
Small amounts of flour were also exported from Poland, Greece, Germany and Belarus.
