Our main message in Granada will be that Georgia deserves candidate status from the European Union - it is necessary for our European colleagues to take a further step and for the country to receive a deserved candidate status, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, stated in the Spanish city of Granada, where the European Political Community ( EPC) will hold its third summit.
According to him, the main topics of discussion will also be the geopolitical situation and challenges in the region.
"I will participate in the roundtable format. Of course, the most important thing for us is that we have been recognized as a country with a European perspective, and now it is necessary for our European colleagues to take a further step and for the country to receive a deserved candidate status. The main topics of discussion will also be the geopolitical situation, the most difficult situation in the region, the war in Ukraine and, therefore, challenges for us. Therefore, I think that our participation in this conference will be quite fruitful," Garibashvili said.
