Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili has expressed very positive expectations following the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, which took place between October 22–23, 2025, under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Georgia. The event brought together more than 2,300 delegates from over 70 countries, the Ministry of Economy reported.
According to the Minister, the forum provided a platform for participating countries, including Georgia, to discuss achievements, results, and plans in the areas of transport, logistics, and investment. “We used this opportunity to highlight Georgia’s economic development, as well as ongoing and planned large-scale infrastructure projects,” Kvrivishvili said, emphasizing their importance for the country’s positioning along the Middle Corridor and as a transit logistics hub.
She added that several important meetings at the forum focused on specific projects, their implementation plans, and deadlines, which are expected to produce tangible results for Georgia’s economy. “These projects will strengthen Georgia’s role in regional transit and logistics, enhancing its strategic position in the Middle Corridor,” the Minister noted.
The Ministry of Economy highlighted that the forum was a key opportunity for international dialogue and cooperation, enabling Georgia to further promote its infrastructure and investment potential to global partners.
