The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) expelled 35 foreign citizens last month amid ongoing migration control efforts in a recent enforcement operation.

This action was taken under the Law on the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons. Among those expelled were individuals from several countries, including Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, China, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Egypt, India, and Jordan.

Some foreign nationals voluntarily left Georgia, while others were forcibly removed due to measures implemented by the Migration Department.

The Migration Department is responsible for combatting illegal migration within the country and identifying foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal authorization to facilitate their expulsion.
