Georgia imported 3,243 tons of grapes worth $4.5 million in the first eight months of this year, according to bm.ge. Compared with the same period last year, the value of imports fell by 17%, while the volume declined by 21%. The imports mainly consist of table grapes.
Uzbekistan was Georgia’s largest grape supplier, accounting for 1,269 tons worth $2.08 million. Armenia followed with 1,430 tons valued at $1.3 million, while imports from Iran amounted to 240.8 tons worth $470,320.
The Netherlands supplied 100.2 tons of grapes worth $414,700, while Turkey accounted for 172.1 tons valued at $169,500. These five countries made up the main sources of Georgia’s grape imports during the period.
Georgia’s grape exports remained largely unchanged. In the first eight months, the country exported 132.3 tons worth $237,100, just 0.8% less than in the same period of 2025. Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan were the main export markets.
