შალვა პაპუაშვილი

The Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili declares, that Georgia is a leader in all parameters compared to Ukraine, Moldova and Bosnia-Herzegovina, however, it is still oppressed by the European Union, which is an injustice.

According to Shalva Papuashvili, Georgia was oppressed in December and is still being oppressed.

"Regarding the statements and decisions of the European Council, it is welcome that there is still support for Georgia. At the same time, we saw the decision to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of today, there is a decision regarding Ukraine, Moldova and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which once again shows the injustice of the decisions. Georgia, which is the leader compared to all three countries in absolutely all parameters, is oppressed. This injustice is very unfortunate on the part of the European Union. Shows once again that unfortunately decisions are not based on merit. I hope that the European Union will finally make a fair decision regarding Georgia this year," Papuashvili said.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament, according to all objective assessments, including the European Commission, Georgia is the leader compared to these 3 countries.

"Even if none of these 9 reservations are fulfilled, we are still leaders. Despite the fact that according to the evaluation of the European Commission, Georgia is a leader in all parameters, Georgia and the Georgian people are oppressed by such unfair decisions. First of all, whatever the Georgian government does, it works to convince the European Union that the decisions are merit-based and fair," Papuashvili said.
