Georgia's Central Procurement Agency has announced a consolidated tender worth GEL 28.84 million for the purchase of 319 new pickup trucks to be distributed among various government agencies. The procurement covers specialized 4x4 vehicles intended for operational use across the public sector.
The largest allocation will go to the National Food Agency, which will receive 90 vehicles, followed by the National Forestry Agency with 50 pickups, the Georgian Gas Transportation Company with 33, the Ministry of Finance's Investigation Service with 30, and the Department of Environmental Supervision with 28. Other recipients include Georgian Amelioration (25), the Revenue Service (18), the Agency of Protected Areas (10), the National Wildlife Agency (9), and the Adjara Forestry Agency (5).
According to the tender specifications, the vehicles must feature four-wheel drive (4x4), a manual transmission with at least five gears, and an engine producing no less than 102 horsepower. The pickups must be at least 5 meters long, 1.755 meters wide, and 1.760 meters high, and include standard equipment such as at least two airbags, ABS, air conditioning, power steering, front power windows, an audio system, and a spare tire.
Suppliers must be authorized representatives of the vehicle manufacturer and operate an official service center in Georgia. The tender also requires a five-year warranty on major components, including the engine, axle, and transmission, while the vehicle must carry a three-year or 150,000-kilometer comprehensive warranty, whichever comes first. Bidders must also provide internationally recognized crash-test certification, such as Euro NCAP, IIHS, JNCAP, or Latin NCAP ratings. Bid submissions will be accepted from August 2 to August 3, with delivery required within 210 calendar days of contract signing.
